I have to admit, the one thing that sucks about getting older and holding down a career outside of the video gaming community and maintaining the lifestyle that better addresses the needs and wants of my family, especially my three kids, is how much of my time that I used to devote to gaming has been limited. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job with the LAPD, I love the time I spend with my wife and three kids, and I love being a husband and father… but inside of me there is a tiny voice that screams out, longing for the days of those 12-hour Final Fantasy marathons. Or the days when I could beat a CoD or Battlefield game in one sitting. But those days are gone and my gaming choices in life have to reflect as much. So every month I have to carefully consider which games I will be buying and spending my time on. I don’t get to play every game that is released like I used to several years ago, but I still have time for about a dozen games a month.
