Turning eighteen and getting accepted into college brings me everything I need to escape from the nightmares of my past but I never could have imagined my nightmares – and dreams – were just beginning. Finding myself thrown into a world of fantasy, politics, friendships, and rules that are nearly impossible to understand, I feel like I’m drowning in a world of shifters I never knew existed. As I struggle to find my place and prevent my nightmares from tearing me apart, I find myself surrounded by an unusual group of sexy men. With Hiro, Killian, Theo, Damien, and Ryder I’m trying to become the woman I’ve always wanted to be, if my past, and my future, will let me.- Amazon

The other day I had randomly picked out a bunch of new releases from the Reverse Harem genre when I was filling my kindle. There was a great bunch to choose from and I just love how this genre is blossoming there are so many books now to fill that void I never knew I was trying to fill. Now, the cover caught my eye first, I mean look at that beauty it just pops, then the description sealed the deal for me. I was getting this one no matter what. Luckily it was part of the Kindle Unlimited which was even better for me. I did not regret picking this one up at all!

Now I’m kind of a sadist when it comes to characters in stories, I seemed to be pulled in to those stories that the MC has a rough childhood and where she’s hurt or almost killed. I have no clue why they get to me more and I enjoy them a lot more than other books. Maybe it the whole overcoming the odds and being the under-dog thing, I’m really not sure. Anyway, these types of books usually end up on my favorites and I have to say this one jumped right into my number one spot.

Nix is such an amazing character, she goes through so much in her childhood and when she can finally get away from it all she flourishes and becomes an amazing person. I loved her personality and how sassy and playful she becomes with her new-found friends who turn into family really. I loved the growing friendship turned relationship with all her guys. Killian, Hiro, Theo, Damien and Ryder; all mythologicals and pretty bad ass in their own way. They care so deeply for her in such a short time.

This story was so good, it made you feel for Nix and root for her to have some happiness and it’s really awesome when you see her powers and everything develop. Now the only down side was the cliffhanger. I gave a little cry about where it ended and I now need book 2 right now! Other than that, I really can’t wait to see how everything plays out and see how Nix and her men survive it all.
