Operation Supply Drop Appoints Two New Board Members Including Board President and Chairman, Mike McKim

Operation Supply Drop welcomes two new members to its board of directors with the appointments of Mr. Mike McKim, a Navy veteran and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cuvee Coffee and Colonel Dan Whisnant, USMCR also Director of Government Sales for CONMED. McKim will additionally serve as Operation Supply Drop’s new Board President and Chairman.

“The addition of Mike and Dan to our board, strengthens our leadership and builds on our exemplary ability to provide relevant and relatable support to our service-members, veterans and their families,” said Glenn D. Banton, Sr., Operation Supply Drop CEO.

Mike McKim is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cuvee Coffee in Austin, Texas. McKim is credited as one of the pioneers in the Texas specialty coffee movement as well as the creator of nitro infused coffee. He is Navy veteran having served during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

Commenting on his new responsibilities as Board President and Chairman, McKim said, “I’m excited to help lead Operation Supply Drop and join an outstanding team with years of proven dedication to our veterans. This opportunity, to have a positive impact of our current service-members while building the community for support during and after transition, is personal. When I transitioned, I had no community or mentor — that I knew of. Being plugged into a network makes all the difference and Operation Supply Drop stands out in our positive approach to this challenge for our veterans.”

Colonel Dan Whisnant continues his service in the United States Marine Corps where he began in 1987, deploying multiple times from Desert Storm through Operation Iraqi Freedom. In his civilian capacity, he is Director of Government Sales for CONMED Corporation leading sales efforts to all VA hospitals in the US and DoD medical treatment facilities worldwide.

McKim and Whisnant join existing Board Members, Glenn D. Banton, Sr., CEO Operation Supply Drop; Bret Boyd, Principal at Grayline; and Oren Schauble, Vice President of Marketing at Hangar Technology.
