* Please note that I received this book for my honest review through NetGalley.

When I first read the synopsis, I had a good laugh, mainly because my day job is working at a theme park. So, I was interested to see how this book would play out and what would stand out to me. While the experience of working there was in the book, it wasn’t the main focus. I enjoyed the love story immensely. Alyssa was such a great character and her story really was a cute fairy tale type. You can also see how she grows in this story from a girl thinking about happily ever after, to a woman who knows it’s out there you just have to fight for what you want.

Alyssa is such a cute main character. You can tell she loves her job and she loves being Cinderella. The way she was dedicated to her daily routine to make sure she passed her look overs and how she worried she wouldn’t make it, showed her passion. She was a romantic through and through and you can see why her break up with her boyfriend really hit her hard. She wanted her “Happily Ever After”.

I really think Jake was an ass for putting all that on her saying she was a butterfly and how he couldn’t hurt her, but still in the end does. If he really felt like he couldn’t be with her any more than he should have been open and honest with her the moment he felt that way. Man, he was just so unlikeable really from the start.

Now Miller, he was a great guy from the start, he was Alyssa friend and even though you find out later he’s always had a crush on her he doesn’t let that get in the way of just being there for her as a friend and in a way as a “White Knight”. I really enjoyed his character, he was so swoon worthy and he had very dedicated friends who looked out for him too, like Yael, she was one tough cookie.

This story had a great fairy tale ending that was so cute but also very believable as well. We got our fairy tale ending without it being ridiculous and to over the top. And you can see how much Miller and Alyssa have grown and how they really care for each other. There’s so much more I could say but I really don’t want to ruin it. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends who love a good contemporary romance with a little real life magic.
