Well, well, well… though I am not exactly thrilled at the news of a new Dragon Ball Z fighting game, with Dragon Ball FighterZ announced to be released in February 2018, but recent news that a new female character, who’s design is being overseen by Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama, definitely has me interested – especially after seeing the first trailer featuring the new character, Android 21, over the weekend.
While I may not be as interested in the game as much as others, my interest was slightly piqued when I first learned that the central story of the game was that a revived Android 16 was gathering all other Androids together to take on the Z fighters, including the newly developed Android 21, a scientist by nature who’s intellect rivals that of the insane villain, Dr. Gero.
The story, coupled with the introduction of the new female Android character, just might be enough to push me to purchase the game – but we’ll see as my free time for gaming isn’t quite as extensive as it used to be, so I have to gauge my gaming purchases carefully as of late.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is a fighting game, developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment on the Unreal Engine 4 game engine for release on Microsoft Windows, the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms and is set for a worldwide release date of February 2018.
